Xabi Alonso has named the Chelsea starting lineup to face Sunderland at the Stadium of Light this afternoon.

Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has adjusted his lineup to face Sunderland, opting for a back-four and a striker-less frontline featuring Morgan Rogers, Cole Palmer, and Pedro Neto. The starting XI also features Jordan Henderson alongside Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo in midfield, while Danny Welbeck was left out.
Goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez could be in contention to play after returning to training with a protective face mask following jaw surgery. Alonso noted that a late fitness test will determine Martinez's availability, while Caicedo has also been dealing with minor physical discomfort ahead of the match.
