Union Berlin will head down south to Baden-Württemberg as they take on SC Freiburg.

SC Freiburg host struggling Union Berlin at Europa-Park Stadion aiming to reclaim third place in the Bundesliga. A victory would move Freiburg within two points of league leaders Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich. The hosts have enjoyed a strong start to the 2026/27 campaign with five wins, three draws, and only one defeat, led by the strike partnership of Igor Matanović and Yuito Suzuki.
In contrast, 16th-place Union Berlin face a relegation scrap after securing only one win from eight Bundesliga matches. While Union are winless in away games this season with a -11 goal differential, they hold an unbeaten seven-game head-to-head streak against Freiburg, including consecutive victories at Europa-Park Stadion. Both sides enter with several squad absences.
