Neuer had to go off with the injury shortly before halftime in Bayern’s 2-1 Bundesliga win at Mainz on Saturday, with reserve keeper Jonas Urbig taking his place.

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is facing time on the sidelines after suffering a partial ligament tear in his right foot. The club announced on Sunday that the veteran will be out for "the time being." Neuer was substituted shortly before halftime during Bayern's 2-1 Bundesliga victory over Mainz on Saturday.
Replacement goalkeeper Jonas Urbig stepped in for Neuer, marking his fifth league appearance of the season. Despite the setback, Opta confirmed that the match saw Neuer become Bayern Munich's oldest Bundesliga player at 40 years and 225 days old.
