Lakers Announce Luka Doncic Injury News in Unsettling Update

The Los Angeles Lakers have ruled out superstar Luka Doncic for Sunday night's matchup against the Detroit Pistons due to back tightness, ESPN's Dave McMenamin reported. This absence marks the second game Doncic has missed this season with the same lower back issue, having previously sat out an October 28 game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Doncic has led the NBA with 40.1 points per game alongside 7.8 rebounds and 7.7 assists through nine appearances. In his absence, the Lakers are expected to rely heavily on guard Austin Reaves to guide the offense, with center Walker Kessler anchoring the defense.
