Buffalo Sabres Prospect Update – 2021 and 2022 Draftees

The Buffalo Sabres provided updates on several key prospects selected in the 2021 and 2022 NHL Drafts who are currently developing outside the NHL. Forward Prokhor Poltapov is reportedly in the club's future plans once his KHL contract with CSKA Moscow expires, having recorded 19 points through 23 games. Goaltender Topias Leinonen was loaned to the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads following an offseason injury.

In the AHL with Rochester, defenseman Vsevolod Komarov has adapted into a more physical role, posting four assists and 39 penalty minutes in 11 games. Forward Jake Richard has tallied six points in his first 11 games as he transitions from the NCAA to professional hockey.
