France opened their November Nations Championship campaign with a commanding 54-17 victory over Fiji in Lyon, but the win was marred by a serious shoulder injury to fly-half Romain Ntamack. Playing alongside Antoine Dupont for Les Bleus for the first time in 20 months, Ntamack was forced off after just 32 minutes following a heavy collision, raising fears of a shoulder dislocation that could keep him sidelined for four to six months.
On the pitch, France dominated the contest with first-half tries from Jean-Baptiste Gros, Sipili Falatea, Aaron Grandidier-Nkanang, and a penalty try to build a 26-3 halftime lead. Kalvin Gourgues, Theo Attissogbe, Charles Ollivon, and Dupont added further scores in the second half to overwhelm Jake White's Fiji side, who managed consolations through Vinaya Habosi and Selestino Ravutaumada.
