While the boxing world awaits the long-anticipated clash between Joshua and Fury, Ruiz has forcefully re-inserted himself into the heavyweight picture. In a direct social media post, Ruiz targeted Joshua with a sharp challenge. He stated: “Joshua, I’ll knock you down so I finish your work. Bro, you’re funny like a clown. Tell me what is your worth?”
This call-out is rooted in their shared history. Ruiz shocked the world by stopping Joshua in 2019 to become unified champion before losing the belts back in a one-sided rematch six months later.
