Tyson Fury prepares to face Mariusz Wach this Friday following harsh criticism from Hall of Famer Tim Bradley. Bradley slammed Fury’s previous points win over Arslanbek Makhmudov as “trash,” demanding a dominant knockout before a potential mega-fight against Anthony Joshua.
Tim Bradley is not buying the Tyson Fury hype. The former world champion ripped into the Gypsy King ahead of his Friday night clash with Mariusz Wach.
Fury returned to the ring last April after a full year out, earning a unanimous decision over Arslanbek Makhmudov. Many praised the performance as a slick display following a lengthy layoff. Max Kellerman even argued that going the 12-round distance against a dangerous opponent was ideal preparation for the former heavyweight champion.
Bradley rejected that view entirely. He insists Fury flopped by failing to deliver a stoppage against someone well below his level. Speaking to the Inside Ring Show, Bradley laid into Fury’s previous display and set high expectations for Friday.
He stated: “Obviously, the light at the tunnel is Anthony Joshua. Anthony Joshua got to take care of business, but we got to see Tyson Fury knock this guy out, man. The last time we saw Tyson Fury in the ring, everybody was glazing him. ‘Oh my God, he’s been off for an entire year. Look how beautiful he looked.’ I thought his last performance was trash. He was supposed to starch that guy,”
There is zero room for another sloppy outing. A safe decision on points will not satisfy critics expecting dominance from an elite heavyweight.
And the pressure is on. With rival Anthony Joshua also fighting this weekend, both British stars must win convincingly to clear the path for their massive showdown. If Fury stumbles against Wach, the biggest fight in British boxing could slip away.
