Former United States international goalkeeper Brad Friedel, who played for Tottenham, Liverpool, Blackburn Rovers, and Aston Villa during a long English career, insists Spurs hold clear priority over rival suitors while firmly ruling out moves to London rivals Arsenal or Chelsea.
Friedel stated: “If Harry Kane returns to the Premier League, I think he would prioritize a move back to Tottenham. I couldn’t see him signing for Arsenal or Chelsea,”
Financial packages from alternative English contenders could still test Tottenham’s resolve if transfer negotiations ever materialize. Clubs like Liverpool or Manchester United hold the financial capacity to present massive offers. Friedel added: “If a club like Liverpool or Manchester United made an inquiry, his representatives would likely inform Tottenham first to see if a deal could be done, but if there was an incredible package from one of those two, I think we could see it happen.”
