Experienced referee John Beaton has been appointed to officiate the upcoming Old Firm match between Rangers and Celtic this Sunday. Derek McInnes' Rangers side is looking to secure back-to-back wins over Celtic, who currently hold a five-point lead over their rivals. The match will take place at Celtic Park with no away supporters in attendance.
Beaton has refereed 59 Rangers matches in his career, with the club recording 38 wins, 10 draws, and 11 defeats. However, Celtic boast an even stronger record under Beaton, winning 50 of the 66 matches he has officiated, while drawing 12 and losing only four times.
