Rangers midfielder Nicolas Raskin remains at Ibrox after a potential permanent transfer to Turkish club Besiktas collapsed during the summer transfer window. Rangers manager Derek McInnes and the club hierarchy reportedly expected the 25-year-old Belgian international to depart, but Andrew Cavenagh blocked the move after learning about the conditions of the deal.
Raskin's legal advisor, Sébastien Ledure, spoke out regarding the failed transfer, noting that disagreements and clashes of interest between clubs can cause deals to fall through. Raskin, who has two years remaining on his contract, may now wait until his contract enters its final year next summer to resolve his future.
