Ryan Garcia Payday Has Shakur Stevenson Turning Friendly

Shakur Stevenson and Ryan Garcia have engaged in a friendly exchange on social media, signaling a potential future matchup. Garcia posted a message of respect toward Stevenson on X, to which Stevenson replied that a fight between them would happen in due time. This friendly turn follows previous tension, as Stevenson had previously criticized Garcia as overrated and a weight bully.

Industry observers suggest Stevenson is targeting a lucrative pay-per-view fight with Garcia to secure a major career payday. However, weight negotiations could prove to be a significant obstacle. Garcia has previously resisted catchweight demands, meaning Stevenson may have to agree to fight at the full 147-pound limit to make the bout happen.
