Beto explains Everton transfer exit as he sends ‘dirty work’ message to supporters

Former Everton striker Beto has opened up about his relationship with the club's supporters and explained his deadline day transfer to Fiorentina. The 28-year-old forward completed a permanent move back to Serie A for an undisclosed fee, reported to be around £17 million, after entering the final year of his contract on Merseyside. Beto expressed his gratitude to Everton fans, noting they appreciated his work ethic and physical style of play.

Beto stated he left Everton because he felt it was the right time to move on, adding that his time in the Premier League made him a better player. Meanwhile, Everton manager David Moyes was left with only one senior striker, Thierno Barry, after a planned deadline-day transfer for Monaco's Folarin Balogun collapsed late in the window.
