Rayan Cherki produced a mature performance in the first-half of Manchester City's Carabao Cup display to earn himself an early finish.

Manchester City secured a 5-0 victory over Norwich City to advance to the Carabao Cup fourth round. Manager Enzo Maresca rotated heavily by making 10 changes, retaining only Rayan Cherki from the weekend lineup. Cherki scored a first-half goal alongside strikes from Floyd Samba, debutant Allan, and Ryan McAidoo before being substituted at halftime ahead of a Premier League match against Sunderland.
At 23 years old, Cherki was the fourth-oldest starter in a youthful squad featuring Nico O'Reilly, Ayyoub Bouaddi, and Rico Lewis. He operated deeper in midfield to link play and support his teammates, demonstrating maturity and leadership without unnecessary showboating as Manchester City cruised to victory.
