The Story in 60 Seconds

Manchester City's 17-year-old forward Floyd Samba scored twice on his debut in a 5-0 victory against Norwich City in the Carabao Cup. Samba started as a centre-forward after manager Enzo Maresca discussed the tactical role with him earlier in the week. The teenager replaced Erling Haaland, who was rested ahead of Manchester City's upcoming Premier League match against Sunderland.

Samba opened the scoring with a header from an Allan cross before adding a second goal with a curling effort. Rayan Cherki, Allan, and Ryan McAidoo also scored to secure the win. Manchester City will now host Brighton and Hove Albion in the fourth round of the tournament during the week of October 26.
