The Story in 60 Seconds

Former world champion boxer Darren Barker has completed an epic 2,000-mile charity challenge in honor of the late British boxing legend Ricky Hatton. Barker cycled and swam from Edinburgh to Morocco to raise money for the suicide prevention charity CALM, for which Hatton served as an ambassador. Barker completed the journey on the exact one-year anniversary of Hatton's passing.

Barker's journey included cycling from Edinburgh to Dover, swimming 21 miles along the coastline after weather disrupted his English Channel plans, and sailing solo to Ceuta before a final bike ride into Africa. The challenge has raised nearly £50,000, which is enough to help more than 3,000 people through the CALM helpline.
