Ukraine manager Andrea Maldera has urged Tottenham Hotspur winger Mykhailo Mudryk to remain calm and focus on his recovery after suffering a training injury. Mudryk, who is on loan at Tottenham from Chelsea with an option to buy, sustained the injury shortly after making his debut as a substitute against Nottingham Forest. The setback has ruled him out of action for both club and country until at least October.
Maldera confirmed that the Ukrainian national team coaching staff is in direct contact with both Mudryk and Tottenham medical staff regarding his rehabilitation. The 25-year-old winger recently returned to football following a doping ban but was not in Xabi Alonso's plans at Chelsea, leading to his deadline-day loan move to reunite with manager Roberto De Zerbi.
