NBA Notes: Pistons, Ausar Thompson, Heat, Pelle Larsson, Celtics

The Detroit Pistons have officially committed to Ausar Thompson by signing him to a fully guaranteed five-year, $155 million rookie-scale extension. The contract, which begins in the 2027-28 season, averages $31 million annually and contains no player or team options. Thompson averaged 9.9 points last season and earned first-team All-Defense honors.

Additionally, the Pistons have reportedly offered restricted free agent Jalen Duren a contract worth more than $190 million, though Duren is seeking a larger deal. Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have reached an agreement on a new contract with second-round draft pick Pelle Larsson.
