‘I’m happy’ – De Zerbi praises Tosin Adarabioyo and Marcos Senesi from Liverpool game

Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi praised central defenders Tosin Adarabioyo and Marcos Senesi following their performances in a 3-1 EFL Cup defeat against Liverpool. Despite the loss, De Zerbi expressed satisfaction with the pair's display during his Friday press conference, highlighting their contributions after rotating the squad in midweek.

The match marked Adarabioyo's full debut for Spurs following his deadline-day transfer from Chelsea, partnering fellow summer signing Senesi, who joined on a free transfer from Bournemouth. Rohan Sengupta notes that with Micky van de Ven and Jan Paul van Hecke serving as first-choice centre-backs, Senesi and Adarabioyo are expected to primarily provide squad depth this season.
