He stated that the ongoing issues on the pitch are self-inflicted by the board rather than the fault of the manager.

Sutton highlighted that Celtic signed ten players during a summer rebuild but lost crucial figures like Daizen Maeda and Arne Engels. He warned that the team's frailties have been brutally exposed following recent poor performances, including a defeat to Ferencvaros. Sutton cautioned that the situation could implode if results do not improve quickly.
