The Story in 60 Seconds

Seventeen-year-old Bayern Munich midfielder Erblin Osmani has chosen to represent Kosovo at the senior international level. Kosovo head coach Franco Foda included the teenager in his 27-man squad for the upcoming Nations League matches. Osmani, who previously represented Germany at the U16 and U17 levels, received his Kosovo passport earlier this month.

Osmani joined Bayern's academy at the U9 level and made his Bundesliga debut in March against Union Berlin. He recently signed a long-term contract extension with Bayern in July, which will automatically become a professional contract when he turns 18. Under current eligibility rules, his call-up does not yet make his international switch irreversible.
