The Miami Heat have agreed to a four-year, $60 million contract extension with 25-year-old Swedish guard Pelle Larsson. The fully guaranteed deal will begin in the 2027–28 season and includes a mutual option for the 2030–31 season. Larsson was originally selected 44th overall in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft.
Larsson earned the extension after a breakout sophomore season where he averaged 11.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. Head coach Erik Spoelstra and team president Pat Riley prioritized keeping Larsson, even keeping him out of trade negotiations during their pursuit of Giannis Antetokounmpo.
