Spurs remain winless in Premier League despite heavy summer spend

Tottenham Hotspur suffered a 3-2 home defeat against Aston Villa, leaving manager Roberto De Zerbi's side still searching for their first Premier League win of the season. Aston Villa took a commanding 3-0 lead, with Emi Buendia scoring their third goal, before Tottenham mounted a late comeback that ultimately fell short.
Spurs finally ended their goal drought this season when substitute Conor Gallagher scored from a Mohammed Kudus assist, followed by a late header from Jan Paul van Hecke. Despite creating numerous chances, including opportunities for Archie Gray and Savio, Tottenham's efforts were thwarted by Villa goalkeeper Zion Suzuki.
