Brian Norman Jr. is executing one of the softest post-title retreats in recent welterweight history. Instead of demanding an immediate path back to the top

Negotiations are reportedly active for former WBO welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr. to face British fighter Conah Walker, according to promoter Eddie Hearn. The potential matchup follows Norman's loss of his WBO belt to Devin Haney and a subsequent tune-up victory against Josh Wagner.
Norman has recently made changes to his coaching staff, replacing his father, Brian Norman Sr., with Ronnie Shields as his head trainer. Walker, who holds domestic victories over Harry Scarff and Liam Taylor, is known for a come-forward brawling style.
