Former Celtic forward Daizen Maeda is set to return to Celtic Park on Sunday to bid a formal farewell to supporters. The Japanese international will take to the pitch ten minutes before kick-off in the Glasgow Derby against Rangers. Maeda requested the opportunity to thank the fans for their support during his four and a half years in Glasgow.
Maeda completed a permanent transfer to Ipswich Town during the summer transfer window without receiving a proper send-off. During his highly successful spell with Celtic, he made 212 appearances, scored 79 goals, and won 10 trophies, including five Premiership titles.
