Tai Tuivasa suffered his eighth consecutive defeat at UFC 331, dropping a split decision to Robelis Despaigne at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The loss ties Tuivasa with Tony Ferguson for the longest losing streak in UFC history. Judges scored the heavyweight bout 29-28, 28-29, and 29-28 in favor of Despaigne following three grueling rounds.
Tuivasa has not secured a victory since his knockout of Derrick Lewis in February 2022. The 33-year-old Australian enjoyed grappling success and control against the fence, but Despaigne landed crucial takedowns and strikes to claim the victory on the scorecards.
