Indian opening batter Smriti Mandhana has broken the world record for the most runs in Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is). Mandhana achieved the historic milestone during India's match against Bangladesh, surpassing the previous record of 4,758 runs held by New Zealand's Suzie Bates. Mandhana now leads the T20I leaderboard with over 4,761 runs.
This achievement follows another recent milestone where Mandhana overtook Mithali Raj to become the highest run-scorer in women's international cricket across all formats.
