French team: Lucas Da Cunha’s reaction after his first call-up

Como midfielder Lucas Da Cunha has expressed his pride and gratitude after receiving his first call-up to the French national team. The 25-year-old is one of the surprise inclusions in manager Zinedine Zidane's first squad list. France is scheduled to host Italy at the Stade de France on October 2, marking Zidane's home debut as head coach.

Da Cunha credited Como manager Cesc Fàbregas for his development, noting that Fàbregas transitioned him from a winger to a midfielder and named him captain. Other first-time call-ups to the French squad include Guillaume Restes, Jérémy Jacquet, Andy Diouf, and Estéban Lepaul.
