The San Francisco 49ers announced two roster moves ahead of their home opener against the Miami Dolphins. Rookie wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling has been placed on injured reserve following ankle surgery. To fill the vacant roster spot, the team promoted veteran defensive lineman Ogbo Okoronkwo from the practice squad to the active roster.
Stribling is expected to miss approximately 10 weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a ruptured deltoid ligament. Okoronkwo earned his promotion after a strong Week 1 performance against the Los Angeles Rams, where he recorded three pressures on 12 pass-rush snaps.
