Guenther Steiner compares Madring backlash to Las Vegas debut with 2027 warning

The inaugural 2026 race faced heavy criticism from drivers, fans, and pundits due to a lack of overtaking. Kimi Antonelli won the race ahead of Max Verstappen and Lando Norris, securing the lead via a virtual safety car rather than an on-track pass.

Speaking on The Red Flags Podcast, Steiner compared the negative reaction to the initial backlash faced by the Las Vegas Grand Prix. He urged patience, noting that some events require fine-tuning to succeed, but insisted that the Madrid layout must be sorted out for its second year.
