Tottenham Hotspur right-back Pedro Porro has withdrawn from the Spain national squad after suffering a suspected hamstring injury. The 27-year-old went down unchallenged in the 19th minute of Tottenham's 3-2 defeat against Aston Villa on Saturday and was forced off the pitch.
Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi expressed hope that the injury is not too serious, but it is severe enough to rule Porro out of Spain's upcoming Nations League fixtures. Porro will spend the next three weeks recovering at Hotspur Way, which could open up an opportunity for 20-year-old Archie Gray to start at right-back.
