Tyson Fury Accuser Wants Sparring Footage Released

Nicholas Asberry, a former sparring partner of Tyson Fury, has called for the release of recorded sparring footage from Freddie Roach's Wild Card Gym. Asberry's request follows the British Boxing Board of Control's announcement of a ban on horsehair gloves, which is set to take effect on January 1, 2028. The American heavyweight has questioned Fury's historical use of horsehair gloves during both official boxing events and sparring sessions.

Asberry previously alleged in 2019 that padding had been removed from gloves used by Fury during their sparring sessions. Members of Fury's team, including Ben Davison and Jorge Capetillo, have firmly denied the allegations. No commission or sanctioning body has established any wrongdoing by Fury, and no concrete evidence has been provided to prove the gloves belonged to him.
