Kekai Hauanio returned to victory lane in Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) with a Race 1 win at VIRginia International Raceway on Saturday afternoon.

Kekai Hauanio secured his third victory of the Formula Regional Americas Championship season with a Race 1 win at VIRginia International Raceway on Saturday. Hauanio completed a late-race pass on championship leader Brady Golan to take the victory after a hard-fought battle. Luke Powers recovered from dropping to 10th place early on to finish third, securing his fifth podium of the season.
Behind the leaders, Cooper Shipman and Evagoras Papasavvas made contact on Turn 4, causing a tire puncture for Shipman and forcing Papasavvas into the pit lane for repairs. This incident severely impacted both drivers' championship hopes. Meanwhile, Robert Arana Jr. secured his first-career points with an eighth-place finish in only his second FR Americas weekend.
