Leinster head coach Leo Cullen has named a 41-man travelling squad for the club's opening two United Rugby Championship matches in South Africa. Ireland scrum-half Jamison Gibson-Park is a notable absentee from the squad. The defending champions will kick off their campaign against the Lions at Ellis Park on September 26 before facing the Sharks in Durban a week later.
Gibson-Park is reportedly being rested to manage his workload for the upcoming season. The squad features experienced internationals such as Jack Conan, Josh van der Flier, and Andrew Porter, alongside uncapped players Tadhg Brophy, Dylan McNeice, and Todd Lawlor. New signings Peter Dooley and Joey Carbery are also included in the travelling group.
