Michail Antonio opens up on recurring car crash nightmare – ‘I jump out of my sleep’

Former West Ham United forward Michail Antonio has revealed he suffers from a recurring nightmare following his near-fatal car crash in December 2024. The 36-year-old striker, who now plays for Championship side Watford, crashed his Ferrari into a tree in Epping Forest, escaping with a severely broken leg.

Antonio stated that he remembers nothing about the actual crash, which has made the experience particularly difficult for his family who witnessed the aftermath. After his West Ham contract expired in 2025, he had a brief spell in Qatar with Al-Sailiya before returning to English football with Watford in the summer of 2026.
