Borussia Dortmund returned to the top of the Bundesliga after securing a 1-0 victory against Stuttgart. The win maintains a perfect start to the season for manager Niko Kovac's side, who have now recorded four wins from their opening four matches. It marks the first time Dortmund have led the league table since their title disappointment in May 2023.
Maximilian Beier scored the match-winning goal for Dortmund after being set up by substitute Jobe Bellingham. Sebastian Hoeness's Stuttgart side struggled to break down a disciplined Dortmund defense, which successfully protected the lead to secure all three points.
