Everton steward leads Liverpool campaign in memory of daughter Megan

Everton matchday steward David Hilton is leading a campaign to light Liverpool landmarks pink for Organ Donation Week in memory of his 17-year-old daughter, Megan. Megan passed away last July after suffering a sudden brain aneurysm. Before her death, she had registered as an organ donor and discussed her wishes with her family, ultimately helping to save five lives through her donations.

The campaign aims to encourage families to discuss organ donation decisions, as NHS figures show family consent rates drop significantly when a loved one's wishes are unknown. Landmarks including the Royal Liver Building, Cunard Building, Wallasey Town Hall, and Hill Dickinson will be illuminated pink to mark the week, which runs from September 21 to September 27.
