Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca knows the comparisons to Pep Guardiola will always be there but has started well
Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has enjoyed an impressive start to his tenure, outpacing Pep Guardiola's results from equivalent fixtures in the previous season. Following victories against Manchester United at Old Trafford and a Champions League win at Porto, City sit three points clear of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League after five matches.
City's improved return includes three more points from the Manchester derby compared to last season and two additional points from their opening Champions League away trip. Upcoming fixtures against Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, Aston Villa, and Brighton present further opportunities to build on the club's early momentum.
