Jalen Duren rejects Pistons’ fully guaranteed $200 million offer

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren has rejected a fully guaranteed five-year, $200 million contract extension offer from the franchise. The proposal reportedly contained no team options, player options, or incentive language. Duren may skip media day or the start of training camp unless the Pistons increase their offer or he changes his stance on the negotiation.

Duren can alternatively accept a $9.6 million qualifying offer by October 1 to become an unrestricted free agent next summer. While the Pistons have resisted sign-and-trade discussions, rival teams like the Sacramento Kings and Milwaukee Bucks have reportedly expressed interest in the 22-year-old All-Star center.
