The Miami Heat acquired Giannis Antetokounmpo in a blockbuster trade this offseason, a move that reportedly would not have happened if the franchise had succeeded in an earlier pursuit of Kawhi Leonard. According to NBA insider Marc Stein, Leonard was only interested in signing an extension with Toronto or San Antonio, which prevented Miami from going all-in on him.
