Former NBA head coach Doc Rivers has officially joined NBC Sports as a game analyst for the upcoming 2026/27 season. Following his departure from the Milwaukee Bucks at the end of the 2025/26 season, the 64-year-old confirmed his retirement from coaching, stating he is looking forward to giving broadcasting his full attention.
Rivers previously coached the Magic, Celtics, Clippers, Sixers, and Bucks between 1999 and 2026, winning an NBA championship with Boston in 2008. At NBC, he will work alongside several of his former players, as well as his son, Austin Rivers.
