UFC legend Jon Jones blames himself for heavyweight Gable Steveson’s criticized exit from the Octagon at UFC 331.

UFC fighter Jon Jones stated that he was responsible for heavyweight prospect Gable Steveson quickly exiting the Octagon following his loss at UFC 331. Steveson was defeated via knockout in 12 seconds by Sean Sharaf and departed the cage immediately alongside Jones, drawing criticism from pundits and fellow fighters including Daniel Cormier.
In a post on social media, Jones defended the departure, stating it was his decision to take Steveson straight to the back to check on his health following the first-round knockout. Steveson previously won his promotional debut against Elisha Ellison at UFC 329 before suffering the defeat to Sharaf.
