The Chicago Bears are working to correct critical special teams errors following a 9-3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2. Chicago coordinator Ben Johnson addressed a crucial blocked 23-yard field goal attempt in the fourth quarter that would have tied the game. The play failed due to a high snap and a missed block by rookie tight end Sam Roush, which allowed Vikings cornerback Isaiah Rodgers to block Cairo Santos' kick.
Despite the special teams breakdown and an injury scare for quarterback Caleb Williams, the Bears' defense showed progress by holding Vikings quarterback Carson Wentz and the Minnesota offense without a touchdown. Williams is reportedly expected to miss only a few games, if any. The Bears now look to rebound as they prepare to host the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football.
