Caleb Williams’ hamstring injury remains one of the most talked about topics in the NFL. The Chicago Bears quarterback sustained it in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s matchup with the Minnesota Vikings at Soldier Field.
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams sustained a hamstring injury during the fourth quarter of a 9-3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings at Soldier Field. Williams, who completed 15-of-26 passes for 138 yards and one interception, underwent tests on Monday and is considered week-to-week. He is not expected to practice ahead of the Bears' Week 3 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Sports analyst Colin Cowherd defended Williams' emotional reaction to the injury, comparing his passion to NBA stars like LeBron James and Victor Wembanyama. Cowherd argued that generationally gifted athletes carry the weight of entire leagues and should be allowed to emote. If Williams is unable to play, backup quarterback Tyson Bagent is expected to start for Chicago.
