Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is expected to miss some time after suffering a hamstring injury during a Week 2 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Head coach Ben Johnson confirmed the injury is considered a week-to-week situation, meaning backup quarterback Tyson Bagent will step in to lead the offense. Despite the setback, some league executives believe the Bears can remain competitive by relying on their running game.
Meanwhile, Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell provided updates on safeties Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph, who are both on the PUP list and must miss at least the first four games. Campbell noted that Branch is closer to returning than Joseph, who is still working to get his knee comfortable. Campbell also expressed his continued support for defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard after the team allowed 41 points in Week 2.
