Premier League: first defeat of the season for Arsenal, which falls heavily at Brighton

Arsenal suffered their first loss of the season with a 3-0 defeat against Brighton. Pascal Gross opened the scoring in the 30th minute before Kostoulas doubled the lead past goalkeeper David Raya right before halftime. Schema Andrés sealed the victory with a header from a Gross corner, while Kai Havertz missed a chance to score for Arsenal.

The loss dropped Arsenal out of first place behind Manchester City, while Brighton rose onto the podium. Elsewhere, Newcastle defeated Hull City 2-1 with goals from Joe Willock and Lewis Hall, and Everton beat Ipswich 1-0 courtesy of an early goal from Thierno Barry.
