Rafael Camara close to 2027 Haas seat alongside Oliver Bearman

Rafael Camara has emerged as the leading candidate to secure a Haas Formula 1 seat alongside Oliver Bearman for the 2027 season. The Brazilian Ferrari junior is reportedly close to finalizing the deal, with team owner Gene Haas serving as the primary driving force behind his selection over other prospects following extensive testing evaluations.

Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu had originally evaluated five drivers for future seats, narrowing the list down to Camara and Leonardo Fornaroli. Supported strongly by Ferrari team principal Frédéric Vasseur, Camara's development as a Ferrari reserve driver and strong test performances positioned him as the preferred option.
