Son of Northern Ireland legend recalls how Roy Keane act of kindness left him blown away

John Gregg, the son of Manchester United and Northern Ireland legend Harry Gregg, revealed that former United captain Roy Keane phoned him on the day of his father's funeral. Speaking on a teaser for the 'On the Spot' podcast, Gregg explained that he did not personally know Keane prior to receiving the unexpected phone call.

During the 10-minute call, Keane shared his own grief over losing his father a few months earlier, warned Gregg it would be the toughest day of his life, and urged him to look after his mother and family. Gregg noted that the gesture profoundly moved him and provided massive support during the difficult time.
