The Story in 60 Seconds

Amanda Staveley's PCP group is reportedly considering Everton as an alternative investment project after her attempt to buy into West Ham was blocked. Existing West Ham shareholders Daniel Kretinsky and David Sullivan exercised their pre-emption rights to halt her move, increasing their respective stakes in the club to 46 percent and 40 percent.

Staveley had originally sought to acquire the stakes of Sullivan and Vanessa Gold before warning she had other opportunities. With Sullivan reportedly unwilling to sell until West Ham returns to the Premier League, Staveley could pursue Everton amid reports regarding The Friedkin Group's ownership plans.
