Knighthead receive plea for fresh investment amid big Birmingham City plans

Birmingham City owners Knighthead have been urged by National League 1 rugby club Birmingham Moseley to invest in their organization. Knighthead, led by Tom Wagner, is developing a new Sports Quarter featuring a 62,000-seat stadium dubbed The Powerhouse and has considered adding a rugby team to its portfolio alongside existing stakes in Birmingham Phoenix and Birmingham Panthers.

Moseley director John Richards stated that his club has the infrastructure and ambition but requires a significant financial injection to compete at higher tiers. Richards argued that backing an established legacy club like Moseley would align with Knighthead's investment strategy rather than building a new rugby franchise from scratch.
